How to stop this : gedit opened this instance of the file in a
non-editable way. Do you want to edit it anyway?
To replicate this problem simply create a file
aaa
on your desktop
now when you open it , it opens in gedit.
if you modify it, save it, but not closed..
now you go on clicking on that file again.
and it opens a
new gedit window with itself in it. a brand new copy of it.
with a warning that says " this file is already open"
and you can click " edit anyway " and etc.
why is this?
why can't it bring back the original open version
why must it clone itself ?
here's what it reads
gedit opened this instance of the file in a non-editable way. Do you want
to edit it anyway?
